Getting value from your board meetings
Your board meetings are quite possibly the most important couple of hours you spend in your firm each month. Maybe you don’t even call them board meetings; perhaps you think of them as partner meetings, strategy reviews, performance reviews or something similar.
The point is that it’s a couple of hours where the most important people in the business are all sitting together, not earning money, but creating the future direction of the firm. Can you afford to have them not running well?
Do you and your partners leave them feeling energised, with a clear focus on what’s to do in the next three months and how to do it?
Do you all discuss the issues that are important to you, without getting side tracked? Do they end up are bored meetings?
